During this workshop we will be learning the art of calligraphy but with a modern twist.  A lovely introduction to calligraphy using a pointed pen and ink.  Your tutor will demonstrate throughout the workshop so you can understand the technique required to create the thick and thin lines which are key to this beautiful craft.  Using drills to get you started you will soon be writing letters and joining them to make words.  We will give you advice on how changing the shape of your letters can change the whole dynamic of your calligraphy. Finally you will have the opportunity using templates to create your own piece of artwork using coloured inks and blending techniques.

Taking you through the basic strokes and steps to develop your lettering skills slowly and concisely. Plenty of time to practice and get some 1:1 help from your tutor.

All equipment and materials are included, and you will receive a take away kit with a workbook, calligraphy pen, nib and bottle of ink.
