My online calligraphy courses are called Click Calligraphy and are a way of learning calligraphy in the comfort of your own home. You will receive a beautiful personal toolkit through the post with everything you need to start your calligraphy journey
Calligraphy Toolkits can be purchased as a gift for someone special and can be used as a standalone training box.
If you are a beginner then this course has been designed especially for you. Starting with the all important theory I will hold your hand ‘virtually’ through every page of your workbook.
If you purchase the optional video content there will be close up demonstrations and explanations that will give you confidence to start writing.

Your work book covers clear instructions on how to use your calligraphy pen, how to prepare your nib and looks at pen angles and using your ink.
We start with mark making exercises to get you used to using the pen followed by letters. Templates are designed in such a way that exemplar strokes and letters are written in black with transparent grey traceable copies to write over, with a stroke order reference sheet for both lower and upper case letters to guide you. Finally there is a page of numbers and one or two commonly used symbols to learn.
After we have spent some time learning how to construct lower and upper case letters you will get the opportunity to understand how to join letters and write some words and again there are traceable templates and a spare practice sheet. The last sheet is a designed quote for you to trace and even copy free hand on the spare sheets of paper provided in the pack.
There is an optional video add on that talks you through every step of the toolkit with close up demonstrations and instructions. This series of 6 videos are broken down into manageable chunks so you are not overwhelmed and are able to take the course at your own pace, stopping and starting the videos when you want to.
The kit comes in a recyclable cardboard box with the calligraphy kit safely stored inside and closed with a wax seal.
